QuantumOps browser extension 0.29.0

  • Firefox: how to update, not a store page. Firefox cannot be asked to update an add-on, and its store page only offers Remove for one that is installed (removing it loses the extension's settings). The update banner, the arrow beside the version in the status bar, and the dispatch board's update chip now show the steps instead: open Add-ons and themes (Ctrl+Shift+A, Cmd+Shift+A on a Mac, or about:addons), choose QuantumOps, click the gear at the top of the page, then Check for Updates. A Copy about:addons button is beside them. Chrome and Edge work as before.
  • Set up from your work email. The welcome page and Options ask for your work email, find your company's QuantumOps instance, connect to it, and open the sign-in with your address already filled in. Your Halo address follows after sign-in, as before. You can still enter the instance URL by hand. After a reinstall, setup is one step again.
  • Sign in as you. The sign-in screen remembers the address you set up with (Sign in as …), with Use a different account beside it. An update or a browser restart keeps it; Sign out forgets it, for shared computers. After Use a different account or Sign out, the next sign-in asks which account to use instead of signing the last one straight back in.
  • For administrators: the lookup answers only for a verified address of an active account, or a verified company domain for someone with no account yet. A managed discoveryUrl setting points it at your own endpoint, and a managed apiBaseUrl still skips it.
  • It ships on top of 0.28.0 (lunch scheduling). Needs server build S2610.145 or later. It uses no new server API; the minimum holds the store release until production runs the server shipped with it, after the QuantumOps control plane, which answers the email lookup, has been deployed.
